Chemical Reactions and Equations

P.12.A.7 - Students know that in chemical reactions, elements combine in predictable ratios, and the number of atoms of each element do not change.  Able to explain how a chemical reaction satisfies the law of conservation of mass.  Able to balance simple chemical equations using whole number ratios.  Able to explain that the law of definite proportions allows for predictions of reaction amounts.
